Value-Chains

A value-chain describes the “end-to-end” process (links in a chain) starting from the order/demand/initiation of the “production” of the product/service right through to the “delivery” of the finished product/service. Any order/demand for a “product or service” includes a set of processes (similar to links in a chain) that has to be completed/concluded in order for the “product/service” to be delivered to a stakeholder/client. A value-chain describes that whole “chain-of-events”/process. Value-stream design provides no hiding place for under-performers
